Throughout the year, L’Union Estate comes alive with a wide range of events that reflect the cultural and social life of La Digue. The estate hosts cultural activities such as Creole Rendezvous and the annual Creole Festival, offering visitors and locals the opportunity to experience music, food, and traditions in a historic setting. In addition to public events, L’Union Estate is also a popular venue for private celebrations, including weddings, birthdays, and other special occasions.

Rendezvous Diguois

Part of the Creole Rendezvous programme, Rendezvous Diguois is a lively celebration of Seychellois culture that brings together locals and visitors in a shared experience of music, food, dance, and craft. Organised in collaboration with L’Union Estate, the event takes place at the end of each quarter, using the estate’s historic grounds as its setting. The programme showcases live traditional performances, Creole cuisine, artisan markets, and local talent, and has become an important cultural highlight on La Digue—offering an authentic and immersive expression of island life and heritage.

Creole Festival

Celebrated across the islands each October, the Creole Festival is a moment of collective reflection on Seychellois identity, language, and heritage. Visitors can enjoy traditional rhythms like moutya and sega, culinary fairs featuring local dishes, fashion showcases, artistic exhibitions, and a variety of activities that honor both history and contemporary expression. L’Union Estate plays an active role during this period, opening its grounds to festival-related activities and remain committed to safeguarding Creole heritage.

Weddings & Proposals

Anse Source d’Argent is one of the most sought-after wedding and proposal locations in Seychelles, known for its distinctive granite formations and natural beauty. The setting provides a striking backdrop for intimate ceremonies and meaningful moments. Most weddings and proposals in this area are arranged through professional wedding organisers, who handle the coordination and logistics to ensure a smooth and memorable experience.
